Welcome post
Welcome to Third Term!
Starting the new term, I analysed my work for the previous term again. And I want to continue working on my weaknesses in the third term to make progress.
I plan to develop my ideas more and try more different options using sketches and notes. I also want to try to explain my ideas better. In addition, I plan to try to manage my time better and work more steadily, as this will help me leave enough time for each stage of the project and, as a result, improve the quality of my work.
I would also like to improve my understanding of style in projects. I realised that the function plays a key role in the project but it is also very important for me to study the style (materials, shape, colour) that will be well perceived by other people. I often focus on my perception of buildings and spaces to understand how comfortable and visually attractive they are but I think it is not enough. This term I want to understand better what decisions should be used to achieve this and learn how to apply it in my projects.
I plan to continue studying the Revit program, which I started during the holidays. Also during the holidays I visited the Walker Art Gallery in Liverpool. I was really impressed by this gallery, as there were works of different eras of art. I was especially interested in looking at the paintings with urban landscape and people that conveyed the atmosphere of the city at that time.
This term I a most looking forward to moments when I discover and understand something new that I can apply to my projects.
Initial Ideas

Add some images to the first half of the post showing what you saw at the Walker Museum - this is a fantastic gallery with a wide range of work, would like to know more of your opinion on it.
ReplyDeletePlease add commentary to your initial ideas sketches, good to see them on here, but you need to explain your first thoughts on your brief and on the drawings you made here.
