Further development 2: Sketches

This sketch is my updated and final version of the project at this stage. I decided to increase the area of the building and therefore created two exhibition spaces that form two separate buildings. I also slightly changed the shape of the exhibition space so that it leads from the ground up into the building and down to the performance space. The surface of the exhibition space (or roof) leads to the roof of the building, and the main floor with the indoor exhibition leads into the building and into the performance space. I showed it on the bottom diagram.
In the top diagram, I showed all three spaces of the building (performance space, community hub with offices and roof). I also added arrows to show where the entrances are located. All three spaces are connected by an elevator for those who want to move faster.
In the diagram on the right I showed the section of the entrance to the exhibition space from the outside and three paths from there. I also plan to make a 3D diagram that will show how a person gets from the street into the performance, indoor and outdoor exhibition spaces.
I also plan to think about how these two buildings can be connected and I will probably make changes to this sketch.

  1. A post like this could really help your project to take off - as in my last comment you have identified this design as the most effective (so far) - so adding more than one version of this design as you alter and evolve it will benefit your project and your assessment.

Use your study time and some class time during Block Two to further work on how you can realise this idea through drawings and even more prototypes of the idea.
