Illustration
Final Outcome
At first, I decided to draw an illustration in the Procreate program using a photo from the location as a background. But when I drew a two-point perspective through the buildings in the photo, I realised that the photo was a little distorted and I had to photoshop it before drawing. Since it would take a lot of time, I decided to draw a watercolour illustration on paper as I did at the workshop and use a photo from the location as a reference for the background.
First, I drew a two-point perspective and buildings with a pencil. But I realised that the buildings turned out to be crooked and with a strange perspective. I drew a new sketch using only one perspective point and I decided that this option is better in this case.
Then I started painting with watercolours, but since the sheet of paper was large, the watercolour dried quite quickly and I couldn't get the drawing I expected. So I drew a new sketch again but used a smaller paper.
In this video I recorded my work process and after that I added details to the drawing. Since the drawing is small, some lines were not very clear. So I scanned the drawing and finished drawing some thin lines in Procreate. Therefore, I got a clearer drawing.
