Workshop (architectural sketches)
This is a sketch which I did during the workshop. It is made in a 2-point perspective. First, I drew a horizon (vanishing) line and put two vanishing points on it at the edges of the sheet. From these two points I drew the lines of perspective (construction lines). After that, I drew the main lines of the building. I also drew a tile using construction lines. Then I erased construction lines, added details on the building and circled lines of the building and tiles with a black marker. I decided to paint the building with watercolours, but the paper began to deform. Probably because I added too much water. So I removed excess water and dried the drawing. Then I added the shadows with a pencil. In some places I made the shadows darker to convey the volume and keep the focus on the building. I also added trees and silhouettes of people because without it the drawing looked empty. I did it schematically to leave the focus on the building. I think I should not have filled the trees with green and they would not take attention it the drawing. At the end, I circled the lines with a thicker marker.
I plan to use the skills I got by making this sketch in a two-point perspective for illustrations of my project. I think the sketch drawn in perspective looks more professional and this is especially important for buildings, because they look more realistic and their proportions become clearer.

Very good outcome for this session, you have used the materials really well to show the environment and you are right, it does make your outcome look more professional with this approach.
