Art Portfolio ONE: Project Statement

For my AP1 project I will create a quiet public space where people can take a break from the urban environment and recover. The building will be located on the urban-park interface. The entrance and exit will be from the urban site and from the park. Therefore people can access to the park from the building. The aim of the project to create a controlled natural environment, using light, sound, scent, natural materials. The benefit of this project is that people will be able to come here at any time of the year and in any weather. I plan to create three main zones: tropical rain zone, forest zone, sea zone. There will also be other quiet areas where a person can read, drink brewed tea or get a short-term recovery in nature. This project is not large-scale. His aim to create a comfortable and functional space using a limited number of high-quality sensory elements. I chose this idea of project because I’m interested to explore the topic of design of the sensory environment and it is connected to one of the topic given to us  “Earthly delights”. I will create a general plan, site plan, elevations, sections and floor plans. I also will create architectural illustrations using Procteate and Photoshop. I also plan to use a SketchUp or Revit to create a 3D model. I am going to take a screenshots of my 3D model when it will be ready and draw a digital sketch on the top of them. There is also a possibility that I will try to do a collage. During the project I will focus on improving my digital skills in Procreate and Photoshop
