Initial Ideas generation (Crazy Eights)
We did this assignment during the lesson. I divided the sheet into 8 parts and drew a new idea on each part for 2 minutes. The ideas had to be connected in 4 topics that I described in the previous post and with my subject area. In my case, it is architecture. This task shows how many different ideas can be invented in 16 minutes. Among my ideas there are crystals that reminded me of the facades of high-rise buildings; clam - its shape reminded me of the shelter, and the pearl - sitting; raindrops - I thought that this shape would be suitable for a small tourist house on the ocean shore; ice cream reminded me of the shape of a spiral and it would be suitable for some exhibition place, where a person rises gradually and looks at the objects; corn reminded me of the floor plan of a house with a large space inside and rooms outside. There are also ideas where I drew the facades of buildings, using geometric shapes and the idea of the transition of stone into architecture, which I described in the previous post.
The last two sketches have the second part of the assignment. I chose two ideas and developed them. I made 4 sketches for each idea. The first idea I chose was the image of a crystal. I thought that the shape could be used as a steps, a playground and a floor plan. The second idea is an ice cream. I thought that the elevator in the middle could be added to the exhibition place where a person goes up. This mould can also be used as a slide. The person climbs to the top and then sits there and goes down. These slides can be made in a circle like in ice cream. I also thought that the idea of a spiral would be suitable for the arrangement of seats in an amphitheatre. All these ideas look a little strange, but they can help to find thoughts or solutions that can really be used in a real project.

End the post with how you might develop one of these sketches, then follow up with those sketches.
