Process: Location (site plan) and demographics

Location

Location place for Beach Eco House Project is located  in the North of the island Nauru. This island situated in the middle of Pacific Ocean and his area 21 square kilometers. Nearest island to Nauru is at a distance 300 kilometers. The building is positioned on the ocean shore on the empty area in a settlement Ronave. There are several shops, beach, gym, primary school, laundry, historical landmark and restaurant within walking distance. Climate is tropical with a monsoonal pattern, rainy season (November to Fabruary). All information I found on the website: Nauru - The World Factbook.

Process (site plan)

First I used Maptiler website for searching the map. I chose one of the maps here and changed the main colour.

After that I imported the image to Procreate app and add tone of ocean with brushes.

Then I added the Iceland and showed his location. I imported the map from Maptiler and used tracing layer to drew the island.

Then I started to do a close-up view. I drew the ocean shore with brushes.

After that I drew buildings, roads and trees. I also added the legend of the map.

Demographics

I used website CIA (Nauru - The World Factbook) for the research of information about island Nauru and his demographics.

I found that the population is about 9 800 people. The area of island is 21 sq km.

Nauru is one of the smallest countries in the world in both population and land area. Ethnic groups in this country are: Nauruan - 94.6%, I-Kiribati - 2.2%, Fijian - 1.3% and others - 1.9%. Official languages is Nauruan, but in goverment is used English. There are 60.4% of Christians and Protestants, and 33.9% - Roman Catholics. On the island 65.6 % of the population aged 15 to 64, 30.1% - children and 4.2% - people over 65 years old.
